Mari + Chris - Another Amazing Vizcaya Wedding

Where do I start with this wedding? It was one year ago (almost to the day!) when Andrea and I shot a beautiful destination wedding at Vizcaya Gardens for a couple from LA. That wedding ended up meriting at state competition last year, and was for sure one of our favorites from 2009. It so happened that I was available again on this date to second shoot with Andrea once again this January 2010 at another beautiful destination wedding at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and once again we think we’ve come away with another award-winning wedding. This time the couple, Mari and Chris, were from Austin, Texas….which ironically we happened to visit last April for a video convention. I brought Andrea along for the 3-day event and it just so happened Mari called a few days before..so I told her I would come to Austin for the consult (she was like what?!…hehe) Well, since Andrea and I were there, Andrea met with Mari who fell in love with our work and we proud to be a part of their wedding this January. Looking at the images below….Mari you might just go crazy! They came out amazing, and Andrea decided to do some extensive pre-touching for you and you have a TON of favorites already pre-selected for your album…..here they are! ENJOY ENJOY! Farah & Arshad’s Wedding Celebration

We have been looking forward to Farah and Arshad’s fantastic two day Indian celebration for some time and September came quick! We finally got the meet the awesome couple just a few days before at their last minute engagement shoot and a few days later they were married!

We photographed Friday evening’s events at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach on Friday and this was the first of its kind for us…..lets just say we’ve never photographed a groom getting showered in mustard and ketchup and whip cream..and whatever else these guests were pulling out of their pockets!  Actually one of the first guests went to throw an egg at Arshad, and he missed, and where does it go? Bam hits me on my leg and splatters all over my pants….have to say that discouraged me just a bit to get too close to the action! But you know us we did get gutsy and jump in there many times (we just planned our angles better from there on out!).

Their wedding on Saturday was at Eden Roc before heading over to the amazing Vizcaya Gardens for their evening reception celebration. Tamara Cohen  and her crew from TC Event Design did a great job turning Vizcaya into a grand reception in a matter of only hours! It looked spectacular so kudos to her and her crew for doing some serious organizing and planning to make this event go as smooth as it did! Their crew rocked it!

Elizabeth + Omar Engaged

Omar and Elizabeth were GREAT to work with at their engagement session last week! We typically shoot about an hour for e-sessions, however this couple wanted a taste of everything Miami has, so we started at the lovely Vizcaya Gardens and melted for an hour and a half (its a shame this garden closes at 4:30…too early!) and got some fabulous images there before heading to our 2nd stop….at Bayside marketplace where we got a few more downtown photographs. This was our “in-between” location that we chose to let time go by before we were heading to get some fantastic sunset shots with the miami skyline in the background. Omar was like the best guy ever for hanging in there for such a long shoot—almost 6 hours! The funny thing was that he took longer than Elizabeth before each location to change and get ready…whats up with that Omar! The evening was totally worth it as Omar and Elizabeth are going to be overwhelmed with so many great photographs to choose from! I can’t wait to photograph this couple’s wedding in 2 months! ~ Ryan

Award Winning Album…with the final touches :)

Here was the final verison of the album Andrea received merit awards for from our recent wedding at Vizcaya. Thought everyone would enjoying see the final version that earned merits at the Florida Professional Photography event last week!

Senior Portrait Music Video— Sweeeeeeet!

So I dont have much of anything to do with shooting for the portrait side of the company, however Andrea suggested I get involved in creating a Senior Model For A Day music video……well it came out amazing—you have to check it out!!! This was an elaborate all day session at several locations, all edited and mixed with actual portraits from the day.

We are currently now in SENIOR MANIA!!! Andrea has been shooting seniors literally every day and we dont have openings until late July at this point…so if you are a senior call us today at 772-283-6807 to get your super sweet senior portraits done by Andrea and watch our for a killer new senior website coming at ya in just a few weeks!

Jordan and Bonnie’s Album Sneek Peek

 Occasionally I will post an album so that you can see some of my current designs. This was a pre designed/premium design album in which I chose all of the images for the final album. Giving me a little more creative liberties, this option allows me to design the album exactly how I envisioned it when I photographed the event. I hope you love it as much as I do! ~ Andrea

Gorgeous Vizcaya Wedding

Not too often do Andrea and I both get to shoot photography together at a wedding both as lead shooters—but our bride this weekend had both of us there to shoot her portraits, and we were so glad it was this wedding! This was a destination wedding from a couple from LA, so we never got to meet with this bride prior to the wedding day. From the moment we stepped in the room, it was one amazing shot after another.

Bonnie was a little flustered when her hair stylist was a no-show (luckily her make-up artist doubled as the hair stylist to save the day), but once she stepped in her dress, the rest of the day went great!

What an amazing ceremony setup…the flowers were so impressive. Did I mention the bride was gorgeous…and we were shooting at Vizcaya? Oh yeah…the groom was cool too…he was so chill the whole day, no nerves…did he know he was getting married?

So this is what happens when Andrea and I both shoot at the same wedding…..a blogful of images….like 60….so enjoy scrolling down for the next 10 minutes :)

Vizcaya Engagement Shoot

Albert & Melissa wanted us to travel to Miami for their engagement shoot so we decided to shoot at the lovely Vizcaya. Ryan and I made the trip down and after about 2 hours of shooting we were pushed out by the security guard since it was closing time….we couldnt stop taking more portraits :) Of course, the grounds are beautiful, and with this great looking couple the shoot went amazing….so I ended up with like 50 images to blog, a good problem right? I picked out about 15 or so to show today…and then if the couple agrees, I think we have a new sample engagement session album coming your way to peek at as well! Then you will see all 50 images and an engagement album!
