Athena + Bill Married!

 I just love it when a couple is so clearly in love, and these two definitely are! Athena and Bill first met 15 years ago and have been friends ever since, about 5 years ago though it turned into much more. Between them they have 4 beautiful kids and who I think it’s safe to say were the life of the party. Being as it wasn’t the first time for them, they opted for a small intimate destination celebration with the closest of their family and friends. Thankfully the weather held out for their beach ceremony, and we even managed to catch the sun peaking through for some sunset portraits. Congratulations guys! :)

Stephanie + Rick Married!

 Stephanie and Rick were married at the end of June at the always lovely Marriott Marco Island Resort & Spa. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t really wanting to co-operate, this has been a trend for us lately, but it did hold out for them to be married on the beach. Lucky for them they had already scheduled an editorial and trash the dress session with us for the next day, when the weather was slightly better. These two were so much fun to work with, they just couldn’t wait to jump in the pool fully dressed in their wedding attire! Chicago Love!

Cari and Christian had their destination wedding in Marco Island—-a bit of a different atmosphere from their hometown in the windy city, Chicago. I knew this was going to be a great wedding when the groom’s card to the bride said “TO MY GROOM”, with GROOM crossed out and BRIDE written in. LOL. A notice to future grooms getting married in Marco: slim pickins for greeting cards on the little island..lol. Instead of Cari frowning–she laughed! Told us that is “so Christian” to do something like that. I’m sure Christian was relieved that she took that so well! This couple is all about love—you can always tell when a couple is head over heels for each other, and I believe this couple is perfect for each other. Marco Island Beauty!

I had the pleasure of photographing an Australian couple that was married in Marco Island over Labor Day weekend (event #2 of 3 of our marathon of events over that long weekend). We lucked out and had a beautiful day over in Marco…working at the lovely Marriott Marco Island under the direction of coordinators Jacey Woods and Kathleen Quinn. It was great to see Marriott’s golf courses, and featured clubhouse called the Rookery Club, where this couples reception took place. What a gorgeous location for a smaller event that is a bit different than the “beach” at Marco but just as nice! We got some killer shot on the course and at sunset as well….oh and did I mention the rainbow that came out for like the 10 minutes we happen to be shooting formals!  This bridal party was something else….I have a hilarious shot of one of the groomsman mooning the camera..however that one’s a bit to graphic for the blog….is that how they do things down under? Hope not! Oh and by the way…this couple’s living the dream….they are traveling the world for the next 6 months and then coming back the the US to travel around the US to find the best place for them to live…how awesome is that?!?!
